Before the Meeting

Establish the Rules of Conduct

√ Set basic ground rules.
√ Stress the importance of respect.
√ Agree on how to disagree.
√ Provide the appropriate materials.
√ Give staff an overview of the business in a binder.

Some tasks that should be completed prior to the meeting are:

â–ºMission, history, staff roster, committees, legal documents, policies, finances, strategic framework, programs, services, upcoming events, change of rules, updated laws.
